ONVIF Newsletter December 2022

Greetings from Leo Levit,

The beginning of another new year is always a time to look ahead and consider the possibilities for the coming months. For ONVIF, as we approach our 15th year as an organization, we are excited to continue the momentum in helping our industry move forward by providing specifications that promote interoperability.

Advancements in key areas of metadata and analytics are raising the profile of video surveillance in many new industries, where interoperability and standardization is enabling new use cases. We are proud to be providing standards like Profile M for metadata that help to build solutions that can be used as the foundation for future innovations in new areas. I am excited to see what new discoveries will emerge in 2023 in this area.

From all of us at ONVIF, I wish you all a peaceful holiday season and a fantastic start to the new year.

Kind regards,

Leo Levit
Chairman, ONVIF Steering Committee
