Dear friends,

Happy Spring, everyone. I hope this finds you well and ready for a busy spring and summer.Like many of you, we here at ONVIF are busily preparing for trade show season! For us, that means we’re prepping for ISC West in April, PSA Tec in May and IFSEC in June. These industry events provide a great opportunity for seeing new technology, putting faces with names, exchanging ideas and brainstorming with colleagues.

ONVIF is also currently finishing its work on the final versions of Profile A and Profile Q, both of which have been circulated among members for feedback during their release candidate phase. Our working groups are incorporating member feedback to ensure that the final releases of both profiles meet the needs of the installers, developers and end users who will be using profileconformant clients and devices in the real world.

ONVIF is getting ready for its next Developers’ Plugfest, to be held this year in London, June 13. Plugfests give developers the opportunity to test their devices before releasing them to the market, which is especially important now, with two new profile releases on the horizon. This will be ONVIF’s 14th Plugfest, if you can believe it.

I hope you have a healthy and happy spring and look forward to seeing you during trade show season!

Regards,
Per Björkdahl
Chairman, Steering Committee for ONVIF
