ONVIF to Weigh in on Standards Panel Discussion at 4th Annual Counter Terror Expo in London

LONDON – 20th April, 2012. ONVIF, the leading global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, announced today that Jonas Andersson, Chairman of the ONVIF Steering Committee, will be participating in a panel discussion on standards in IP video at the 4th annual Counter Terror Expo on 25th April in London.

The panel will kick off a daylong CCTV Workshop as part of the Counter Terror Expo’s educational programming and provide an overview of IP standards initiatives and their influence in the market today. The discussion will also focus on other issues concerning standardization as well as exploring the future of such movements in today’s IP surveillance arena.

Andersson will be joined by fellow panelists Frank Rottmann, liaison partner and convener, International Electrotechnical Commission, TC 79, CCTV, and Ross Dorman, Managing Director for Chordell Solutions, a UK-based systems integration consultancy. Roy Cooper, Publisher of Professional Security Magazine, and Chairman of the CCTV workshop, will moderate the discussion.
