ONVIF holds its 2nd interoperability event at ISC West

  • Network Video Interoperability Demonstration
  • Captures Great Market Interest For Standardization
  • Increasing Number Of ONVIF Conformant Products

San Ramon, CA. ndash; February 11, 2010. ONVIF today announces that it will hold an open reception and its 2nd interoperability demonstration in conjunction with ISC West on March 25 in Las Vegas. The event is a golden opportunity for interested parties to witness the potential of a global standard for network video products and to be part of the latest developments within ONVIF.

ldquo;The highlight of the reception is the show plug fest, where member companies will demonstrate interoperable network video products, rdquo; says Jonas Andersson at Axis Communications, Chairman of ONVIF rsquo;s steering committee. ldquo;The first public plug fest, held at ASIS last year, was a big success with several companies showing interoperable cameras and video management software. We hope to see even more participants and products in Las Vegas rdquo;.

All activities around ONVIF show that there is a great market interest for standardization within the security industry. The open forum has attracted more than 140 member companies and there are already more than 50 ONVIF conformant products available on the market. ldquo;I believe that ONVIF rsquo;s accomplishments during the last year made it clear that a global standard for network video products is about to become reality, rdquo; says Andersson. ldquo;Therefore, it is important for us to continue to be open and share our visions and achievements at events like this. rdquo;

The ONVIF reception will be held on March 25th at the Venetian. Registration forms and further details are available on the Event area of ONVIF rsquo;s website: www.onvif.org
