With Guy Arazi, Director, Technical Partnerships at SecuriThings
What does your company do? What services, or products, do you provide?
SecuriThings is redefining the way organizations manage, maintain and secure their physical security devices at scale.
Our platform provides physical security teams with a single pane of glass to gain full visibility and control over their physical security devices (including management systems and related network assets); ensure compliance with IT standards; and enable efficient collaboration across the enterprise. SecuriThings provides a suite of automated capabilities such as remote device restart, password rotations, firmware upgrades, certificate management and End Of Life management, as well as a range of enterprise collaboration tools – from Smart Alerts, to a customizable Report Center, to integrations with IT ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, and more.
SecuriThings is available as a standalone Enterprise Solution for physical security teams, or as a Managed Service Platform for our MSP partners to provide a premium service for organizations who prefer to outsource the management and maintenance of their physical security devices.
How long has your company been in the physical security market?
For the past five years, SecuriThings has been enabling physical security teams to consolidate, automate and secure their devices. The SecuriThings solution is trusted by Fortune 100 companies and has been deployed across a wide variety of industries including technology, aviation, higher education, hospitals, and more. SecuriThings partners with key systems integrators and device manufacturers to provide unmatched insights, coverage and reliability.
Why did you join ONVIF and how long has your company been a member?
At SecuriThings we understand the critical importance of setting high, universal standards for physical security device management. In today’s connected world, physical security organizations are expected to be enterprise-ready; in fact, this is a key part of our work with physical security organizations across many different industries, as companies turn to us to ensure their devices are consistently functioning, compliant and secure.
ONVIF is setting the standards for the physical security industry at large, and essentially shaping the future of the industry by creating and promoting standardized interfaces for effective interoperability of connected physical security devices.
With such complementary missions, we strongly believe that our recent partnership with ONVIF is a natural fit that will positively impact the entire physical security ecosystem.
To which specific profiles do your company’s products conform, and why is that beneficial to your business?
SecuriThings covers a number of ONVIF profiles, to varying degrees. We are currently working with ONVIF on their new “add-on” category, which will include solutions such as ours that provide value beyond the traditional ONVIF categories (so watch this space!)
What does it mean to you to be a member of ONVIF and what kinds of business impacts have you seen as a result?
Our partnership with ONVIF is still fresh, but there is no doubt that being an ONVIF member will enable us to further our goal of empowering physical security teams to consolidate, automate, and secure their devices, and ensure they are fully compliant with IT standards and government regulations. ONVIF and SecuriThings’ goals complement each other very strongly, and we are confident that this is a winning combination that will benefit both of us, along with our customers.
