ONVIF is established as a non-profit organization. It is an open industry forum promoting and developing global standards for interfaces of IP-based physical security products.
The work in ONVIF is driven and carried out by its members in various committees and working groups. The Organization structure is as follows:

Steering Committee
The Steering Committee is responsible for ONVIF's overall strategy and budget. Current members of the Steering Committee are Axis, Bosch, Panasonic, Siemens, and Sony
Technical Committee
The Technical Committee drives the development of ONVIF's core specification as well as the technical direction and roadmap. Current members are Axis, Bosch, Panasonic, Pelco by Schneider Electric, Siemens, and Sony. Working Groups under the TC include Security WG, Physical Access WG and Enhancements WG.
Technical Services Committee
The Technical Services Committee is responsible for the development of test specification, test tool and conformance process. Current members are Anixter, Axis, Bosch, Honeywell, Pelco by Schneider Electric, and Sony. Working Groups under the TSC include: Test Specification WG, Test Tool WG and Technical Support WG.
Communication Committee
The Communication Committee is responsible for ONVIF's external and internal communication. Current members are Axis, Bosch, Hikvision, Honeywell, Pelco by Schneider Electric, and Sony.
