With Avinash Trivedi, VP – Business Development, Videonetics
What does your company do? What services, or products, do you provide?
Videonetics is a pioneer in video computing technologies and a leading brand in innovative video management solutions for the physical security & surveillance requirements of a wide spectrum of industries.
Our product offerings include Intelligent Video Management Software (IVMS), AI Powered Video Analytics (VA), Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS), and Face Recognition Software (FRS).
All our products are interoperable and are integrated into one ‘Unified Video Computing Platform™ (UVCP)’, that is powered by an indigenously developed AI and Deep Learning engine. The platform is rigorously trained on massive multi-demographic data sets, making our products robust and unbiased for all environments & applications. Our products are cloud-ready, cloud-agnostic, ONVIF compliant, OS & Hardware agnostic, scalable, and interoperable.
How long has your company been in the physical security market?
Videonetics was established in 2008, with a mission to develop ground-breaking technologies that shall redefine the surveillance and security industry of tomorrow. For over 14 years now, we have been at the forefront of innovation, indigenization & excellence.
Today, our products are touching the lives of millions of people every day. We have been able to capture and retain the biggest market share in India for years now. We have also been ranked among the top 5 VMS brands in Asia for the last few years (source: OMDIA Informa Tech 2021).
As of date, Videonetics has secured over 150 cities, 80+ airports, and 100+ enterprises with our AI & DL-powered video management solutions.
Why did you join ONVIF and how long has your company been a member?
As a member of ONVIF since November 2013, Videonetics has been a strong believer in truly open protocols and integration standards. We understand that our products constitute just a single piece of the entire puzzle, and therefore, from the outset, our products have been designed and developed for easy integration with products from a wide range of security & safety OEMs.
Videonetics works on the approach of giving users the flexibility to leverage their choices of resources and investments. Joining the ONVIF community was an easy decision considering the future of the industry. Today, ONVIF has become a de-facto standard for effective integration in the physical security space.
Recently, we have elevated to full membership of ONVIF, which is a testament to our commitment to the cause of global interoperability of the IP-based physical security devices industry. The membership will provide us with collaboration opportunities with the steering and technical committees, working groups, and eco-system players to actively contribute to building an ‘agnostic’ security industry.
To which specific profiles do your company’s products conform, and why is that beneficial to your business?
Videonetics’ products comprising Intelligent VMS, Intelligent Traffic Management System, Facial Recognition System ‘MeraFace™’, and Video Computing Platform as-a Service (VCPaaS) conform to ONVIF S, G, T, and M profiles, thereby keeping pace with the latest standards of easy and deep-rooted integrations with a wide range of IP-based safety and security devices, ensuring flexibility, ease of use, and peace of mind for our customers.
As an ONVIF full member, Videonetics invests significant resources and efforts towards developing core technologies and products, keeping ourselves at the forefront of innovation rather than spending unproductive time on bespoke individual integrations.
What does it mean to you to be a member of ONVIF and what kinds of business impacts have you seen as a result?
Not just by becoming a member of ONVIF, but also by ensuring swift development of our products conforming to the latest ONVIF profiles, we have been able to form strategic alliances that have led to the expansion of Videonetics’ footprints in different markets and verticals.
Videonetics takes pride in itself in providing ‘open, flexible, and agnostic’ solutions to the marketplace. As an ONVIF member, Videonetics is committed to the cause of standardization of communication between IP-based physical security products and interoperability regardless of brands. It allows us to build trust and loyalty with partners, system integrators, distributors, and end users.
