The first U.S. office was located in Seattle. We are now located in Redmond Wash.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why did you join ONVIF and how long has your company been a member of ONVIF?<br \/>\n<\/strong>Aiphone has been on ONVIF member since 2013. We joined for the standards ensuring interoperability with products from other industry manufacturers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To which specific profiles does your company\u2019s products conform and why is that beneficial to your business?<\/strong><br \/>\nAiphone products use Profile S. This standard from ONVIF provides a common integration path for Aiphone and third-party video product manufacturers. That saves Aiphone from having to create multiple integration protocols for products such as video management systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does it mean to you to be a member of ONVIF and what kinds of business impacts have you seen as a result?<\/strong><br \/>\nONVIF membership has been very positive for Aiphone. Within the security industry, it\u2019s almost expected your products will be ONVIF-compliant if you are going to be streaming video.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there any specific benefits it brings to your business?<\/strong><br \/>\nIt allows for us to have simple conversations with other manufacturers when discussing streaming video. We do not have to go into details on how it will be done. That reliable integration ability is also very reassuring to our end users. They want to future proof their security investments.
