With this new Profile, ONVIF has responded to the growing demand for high resolution and 4K video surveillance by providing support for H.265 video compression. ONVIF believes H.265 will eventually replace the widely adopted H.264, heightening the limits of today\u2019s existing infrastructure and storage capabilities of surveillance systems.<\/p>\n<p>Profile T ultimately provides support for both H.264 and H.265, specifications which allow users and systems designers to build future capabilities into an existing system and implement newer technologies over time.
