Security System Helps Atlanta Police Provide Recruits a Safe Residence (Police Magazine)

Axis Communications video and 2N intercom solutions combined forces to equip Unity Place, an apartment complex housing Atlanta Police Department recruits, with a comprehensive security system. The system uses Axis fixed and dome cameras with HDTV 1080p quality and features a loitering analytic. For access control, Unity Place chose an IP Verso video intercom from 2N, an Axis company.

In this op-ed, Milestone Systems Vice President Tim Palmquist examines the benefits of choosing an open source VMS over a single manufacturer end-to-end solution to combat current supply chain issues, while also planning for the future. 

According to Palmquist, “The current supply chain issues have reminded us of an important lesson that we’ve always known to be true: flexibility in the technology stack should always be prioritized for the best long-term solution, value, and return on investment.”

3D facial recognition helps Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital secure access (Healthcare IT News)

Alcatraz AI deployed their biometric access control system “The Rock” at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles, California. With one of the busiest emergency rooms in the county, they wanted to ensure their IDF and server rooms were protected against potential physical breaches. 

“The Rock” features facial authentication, multi-factor authentication, tailgating detection, and more. Since its installation, the system has operated with 100% reliability.

VIVOTEK 

Video surveillance solutions from VIVOTEK integrated into Thailand net zero showroom (IFSEC Global)

In this case study, VIVOTEK showcases how they tailored a video surveillance solution for Delta Thailand, which recently launched Thailand’s first Net Zero Container Showroom in Amata City, Chonburi. 

They installed a variety of complementary solutions, including their VAST Face Facial Recognition Solution, which includes the Content Management System (CMS) and a Facial Recognition Tablet installed at the entrance of the building; VIVOTEK Stereo Counting Network Cameras at entrance and exit points, 180° Panoramic Network Cameras for outdoor surveillance; and VIVOTEK multi-sensor 360° Panoramic Network Cameras to protect against weather conditions and tampering.
